Mandapali Mandeswara Swamy Temple
It is said that dhadichi maharshi donated his spinal chord to Lord Indra which is highly unimaginably powerful. Lord Indra killed a demon named kartabha with vajra ayudha given by dhadichi.
The sons of kartabha, Pippala and Aswattha waged a war as an avenge to their father’s death.
Maharshi Agasthya sought the help of Shani Dev to kill these demons. Shani Dev killed these demons and as a mark of glorious victory and based on the advice of maharshis, shani installed Shiva lingam to escape from Brahma hatya sin.
So, whoever worships this Shiva lingam with gingelly oil is blessed by Shani Dev and one can mitigate the impacts of Shani period.
